Interview with senior employees H・T
Production Management Department, Manufacturing Technology Division 2
Why did you want to take ULVAC Kyushu?
I was from Kirishima City, and I wanted to work in a place I was used to.
I didn’t know albach Kyushu existed at the time, but my father knew ULVAC and told me about it.I didn’t learn anything special about vacuum at university, but I started to get interested little by little because I used albach’s small pump in my laboratory. When I looked into ULVAC, I was attracted to the fact that there is a history and supports the foundation of the technology essential for the development of the industry called vacuum technology.I learned that there is a state-of-the-art vacuum factory in Kagoshima, and I thought that this kind of company would be good if I worked.
Why did you decide to join ULVAC Kyushu?
The day I received the adoption notice happened to be my birthday.I thought that this was also the edge of something.
Can you tell me about your current job?
Currently, I am in charge of testing equipment that makes panels for OLED displays.
In addition, after shipment, we will test on site after loading at the customer’s destination and after assembly.
It’s been a year since I joined the company, but six months after I joined the company, I went on a business trip to China.
I try to ask my seniors what I don’t understand, but before I do that, I think about it myself.Think, ask questions, match answers, and act.If you act only on your own thoughts, you will fail after all.I have a lot of experiences where I have failed a little.
Some devices have a high development element, so I think experience is the best study.
I’ve experienced the robot team, the leak test team, and the alignment team, but I’m still studying.
How is the atmosphere at work?
It’s bright.I have a lot of conversations with section members.I think that there are times when you get stressed when you have a lot of business trips, but there is an atmosphere in the company that creates a relaxed environment.
Of course, the team leader, and if everyone happens, they talk to each other. Therefore, it is easy to report the phase.I’ll be back from the business trip soon!I feel that.
What is your job hunting advice?
I think that there is a feeling that “I have learned this kind of thing, so let’s go on this road” in job hunting, but I think it is not so good to stick to it and to think that there is only that way.Spending time at a job is quite long in your life, isn’t it?I think it’s a waste to decide what’s ahead because of the anxiety that you’ve never done it before, as you think about where to find a job.If you’re interested in it even a little, it might be a good idea to look into it.
Please tell us about your experience in your school days in your work.
I’ve spent my time in a small community until high school.I left my hometown to go to university and was full of anxiety at first, but by jumping into the wider world, I gained more freedom and, as a result, I was able to get to know the world.Even at work, my first overseas business trip was full of anxiety, but I was able to learn about the world that is different from the fundamental part of my life, and I began to feel that I would try to touch the unknown.Everything is an experience.
What are your recommendations for those who wish to join the company?
One is that there are many places to learn. There is also e-learning, and there are places where you can learn as much as you want to learn at ULVAC.In terms of safety learning, there is a classroom called the “Safety Dojo” where all employees are educated on safety every quarter.
What is your vision for the future?
My goal is to be a senior. When there is a problem in the test work, the improvement measures are put out in theory.I want to aim at such a senior figure.Accumulation of steadily improving trouble.I want to increase such knowledge because I think that the result of collecting the point of knowledge in this way, and twisting the line becomes a power that seniors have.I want to be such a pillar.
